Hi all,
I am interested in finding connections/stories/pictures etc of my grandmothers fathers side of the family. I know that they were Greetham and Burgess, and that they lived predominantly around Boston, Spalding (Gedney, Leverington), in fact across most of the fenland area where they worked mostly as agricultural labourers.
I also know that my great Xs Grandmother was at one point in the Union Workhouse at Spalding - this I have found out has long since been demolished.
I also believe that whilst the family continued to be called Greetham (my great great grandfather was a John Greetham), that they may in fact have been Burgess - his mother being Mary Ann Greetham and his father being William Burgess.
If anyone has any information to help me flesh out the things I am already aware of, I would really appreciate it.

Don't know if it's of any help to you but my husband's father [still living] is Florence Greetham's grandson. I have a copy of her birth certificate [7 Sept 1879 in Baston] which was made in 1942 giving her father as John Gretham Burgess and her mother as Sarah Jane Burgess formerly Parker.
If you think I may be of further help, please let me know
