Title: Livingstones/Islandeady
Post by: wagcol09 on Sunday 16 August 09 15:04 BST (UK)
I'm looking for information on the Livingstones/Livingstons, descendants of Martin Livingstone and Ellen Gavin who were married in c1843.
I found records of catholic marriages and baptisms in Islandeady which i believe are the children of the above. Thanks

Thanks for this.  I'll have a look on Mayo roots.
Is the 1911 information you've posted from the census?

Hi

The 1901 census for Mayo has been put on the 'Leitrim Roscommon' site -  you might like to  have a look.

If you select county Mayo and the surname Livingston there's an entry for a Peter Livingston age 77 in Castlebar.
I couldn't see any heads of households with the surname Livingstone.

But if you just select county Mayo and put Islandeady in the parish - nothing else in the search - you should get everyone in Islandeady on the 1901 census. There are a few entries for ' Levingstone' which could be possibilities for you. There are also a few Gavins.

The 1911 census for Mayo is due to be put on line soon - it will be free to search so you might find some more possibilities.

Here are the links

Hope this helps

Hello. I am descended from Patrick Livingstone who left Mayo and settled on Teesside via Staffordshire. Can give info from 1860s to present, also some on Andrew Livingstone, Patrick's brother. Regards Alan
