Hello....Am trying to help my elderly neighbour trace his family tree.......
The CARTER family appear on 1901 census at Barking Rd. West Ham
Henry Carter Head  37  Fruiterer  B.West Ham Essex
Emily             Wife    33                 B. St. Georges London

Have you been able to identify Henry in 1881?

There doesn't seem to be a Henry Carter born West Ham on earlier censuses. Do you have his marriage cert? If so, what does it say about his father?

Oooh - I like the fact he's Henry J  :D (although he marries as plain Henry apparently). Also dad a General Dealer. 

Does it say place of birth Plaistow? Are you posting the full details?  :)

I am looking for whereabouts of Henry John Carter (who was married to Emily Carter nee Mason) at the time of his death, somewhere in Essex circa 1937/1938 on a farm - can anyone help?

Have managed to get Henry Carters Marriage cert to Abigail Bundick......Nov 30th 1861 great Wyborough both full age. fathers John Cater Labourer & James ? Bundick Bootmaker?  Henry S/O above born 1863 Jeffrey's Terr. Plaistow.
