Hello, I am slowly losing my sight and find it hard now to navigate,
i am hoping someone could do a lookup for me
I am desperate to find a RICAHRD JAMES & Wife MARGARET in the 1841 census at LUDGVAN CORNWALL,
I am particularly looking for MARY ANN JAMES Christened 1836
the other children were JANE chr. 1830, JOHN chr. 1832, william chr.1840
I have a hugh brickwall in my tree, my Mary Ann James my GG Grandmother married in Victoria Australia and died 1899 age 66 and on her death certificate it says her Father was Richard James and Margaret Viguers i can not find anything on her parents or siblings
any help would be really appreciated
Thank You
Cuddles

worth a look at the IGI - Ludgvan registers go back to the 17th C, and altho I cant exactly match a Richard's baptism, I noticed in the 1841, a John James aged 80 and a Margaret aged 75 - next door to your Family ...
-
I wondered if the 1851 census might reveal more about their PoBs - as a marriage isnt evident in the IGI, so maybe Margaret came from further afield ..... but it seems not.
1851 - HO107/1917; Folio: 213; Page: 13 - Ludgvan
they all state 'Gulval' as their PoB.
Richard James 60 Head Farm Labourer
Margaret James 55 Wife
Jane James 21 dau
John James 19 son
William James 11 son

Thank you ao much for your census lookup for my James Family,
I think this might be them, as Mary was not on the census with them in 1851,
because she came to Australia 1850, so i will try and follow this Family
I really appreciate your help
