There were some half a dozen possible William Charles births in Edinburgh/Leith in your given time scale.      Fathers name I understand should be on his marriage registration which could reduce the numbers somewhat.

The marriage was between William Charles and Florence Pillar.

James A's birth year -  I notice that I did not show this and as I do not have the various URLs at hand on this borrowed connection, any results will I am afraid have to be delayed somewhat.      Rootsweb free BDMs was the source.
