Title: Cemetery look up Axminster.
Post by: ele on Saturday 08 August 09 11:54 BST (UK)
Some kind lady a few years back did have a search for G.Grandads grave but now I have the plot number, so if any kind soul doesnt live to far or passing by please could they look. Dont go out of your way to much as my family have a feeling it is overgrown and plaque not there anymore and believe a park bench was sitting over where the grave used to be!!??

Cemetery Chard Road Axminster.
Plot number 726. Francis McGurk the plaue may read. Think his wife,Catherine and son Clive McGurk may be buried with him.

He was R/C-unsure if that would help.

Thanks in advance, Ele.

Thanks, Ele.

I realise it's a long time since you posted your question, but I only just stumbled across it while searching for something completely different. I haven't seen the graves, but can tell you that the Council's burial records show Francis (grave 726) died 19 June 1953 ages 74; Katherine (690) died 2 Nov 1942 aged 57; William Clive (687) died 12 June 1934 aged 11.

I live in Axminster: if I have a chance to look, is there any other information that you were hoping to get?
