Title: Eves in Norwich enigma?
Post by: whitt on Tuesday 01 March 05 18:48 GMT (UK)
Mary,William, and Eliza; can anyone please throw some light on these brothers and sisters?
Believed to have been born in Norwich, and shown on the 1841 census as living in Muspole Street, and Sussex Street.
I am also unable to trace their father William Eves on this census.
I believe these to be the children of William Eves and Mary March, who were married at St Clement, Coslany, Norwich, in 1826.
I believe this couple would have been born at the turn of the century, and may have moved into the area, although I have found one Eves Family in Norwich in the early 1700's.
Any information gratefully received.

Glenn Eves.

Just in case.
The children mentioned were baptised under the name Heaves with mother's maiden name listed as March.
At some point the H was dropped.

St James Pockthorpe
Mary Anne Heaves bap. 22 October 1826  Born 16 October
William Heaves bap. 14 December 1828  Born 4 December  father Weaver
Eliza Heaves bap. 27 March 1831  Born 17 March - father Weaver
Louisa bap. 2 September 1832  Born 3 August  -- father Weaver
