i am researching a family tree for john alexander lenman, born 1878, belfast. on his cdn. overseas expeditionary force enlistment form for 1915, he lists his father as john lenman, 642 jackson st., belfast as bext of kin. how would i find info on this family? is there a 1901 census online as yet for belfast?? any info would be greatly appreciated.

1911 census for Co. Antrim and Co. Down (which cover Belfast) are online (free) and can be search here:
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search
they are supposed to add 1901 census eventually.

Something very strange going on here I think-
index to civil registrations (all Ireland)- no Lenmans
IGI (www.familysearch.org)- no John Lenman
Emerald Ancestors index- no Lenmans
1912 Ulster Covenant- no Lenmans
PRONI Will Extracts- no Lenmans
1911 census only a few households on Jackson St., Belfast so number 642 doesn't seem to make sense
I did, however, find some interesting possibilites in England to consider-
John Lenman- BIRTH- registered Oct./Dec.1878 Bethnal Green district, London
1891 Census- London County Council Industrial Schools, Feltham Middlesex-
John Lenman, 12, inmate, born Holloway London
16 Jan.1927 "Metagama" arrived Liverpool, England from St. John, New Brunswick, Canada- going to 197 Moss La. E. Moss Side Manchester
John A. Lenman 48, bridgeman
Amy B. Lenman, 5

Did more searching and now not sure if John Lenman in 1891 census (England) is the right one or not.
1891 census- same place as John Lenman is-
Edwin H. Lenman 14 inmate born Holloway
Had terrible time tracking Edwin and John (pretty sure they could be brothers) in 1881 census- young enough to be listed with parents I hoped).
1881 census- 9 Collins Place, Bethnal Green
Henry LEMAN 34 born Bethnal Green bricklayer
Sophie LEMAN 32 born London
Sophie LEMAN 7 born Gainsboro Yorks. scholar
Mary LEMAN 6 born Gainsboro scholar
Henry LEMAN 5 born Bethnal Green [Edwin H.]
John LEMAN 3 born Bethnal Green
George LEMAN 10 months born Bethnal Green
Free BMD lists quite of few LENMANs in Bethnal Green registration district-
marriage- 1874 Henry LENMAN and Sophia DIGGINS
birth- 1876 Henry
birth- 1880 George
birth- Thomas 1883
death 1886 Martha (birth 1885)
death- 1886 Sophia
death- 1895 Sophia (age 22)
There were more, I think, but if this does turn out to be correct family you can check for full details.
