Hi
Can anybody please help?
My late father (b:1918, illegitimate) was brought up in Aberlour Orphanage (1924-1936), I have recently found that my family name, if following the male side, would have been Pickard.
I am a descendant of Robert Pickard, William & Elizabeth's son and William (born Leics) & Mary Pickard’s grandson. We know that Robert was a cabinet maker and had a business in Peterhead and his place of death is listed as Prison Buildings.
Can anybody tell me where Robert’s grave is? We have visited Longside and found William & Elizabeth Pickard’s grave. We will be up in Scotland again soon and will visit the Peterhead area but will only have a short time.

Hi I dont have any information on your Robert, how much do you know of the Pickards? I have some information on the family but its far from complete ,Mary Pickard was my ggg grandmother
have you looked at the posts on the marriage of James Rennie and Mary Piskard also posts on the whaling boat the Alert.
You will find that there are few people on this site with Pickard connections.

Hi,you will be pleased to learn I've found out where Robert Pickard is buried. He's in Constitution Street Cemetery,Peterhead. There are other Pickards buried there as well, Alice Pickard, Robert John Cassie Pickard & William James Pickard.I got this information from a newly released cd from The Family History Society of Buchan. It is indexed & also has photos of the headstones. I recommend that anyone with Peterhead ancestors check out this website!
