Is anyone able to advise if there are any New Jersey BDMS available on line.
Looking particularly for a death between 1910 and 1920 censuses for a Percy FAULCONER. Was living in Union in 1910 but deceased by 1920. Born 1867 in Sussex England emigrated about 1888.

New Jersey vital records, like most in the United States, are managed and maintained at the local level. This typically means going in person (sorry!) to a local archive such as a county courthouse or records office, and looking through their original archives. Situations vary by town, city, and state. I would suggest doing a Google search on Union, NJ, to find what their specific practice is.
Good luck!

This site gives instructions for ordering vital records for genealogical research from New Jersey: http://www.state.nj.us/health/vital/gen.shtml I don't see a requirement that you go in person, but I'm not sure how the I.D. requirements and mailing would work if you're outside the US.

I should have been more precise in my note: as far as I've been able to ascertain in my own family history research, there's no online mechanism for finding specific NJ vital records. You can order a record, per the form you kindly provided the link for, but only if you already know the information necessary to make the request (so, some amount of detail is needed). In my experience, this effectively amounts to going, in person, to some records office somewhere and either reviewing the physical records or looking through microfilm. As the link here indicates, the specific record office in question varies depending on the date and location of the record you are looking for.
I'd happily be wrong about this, but this is my experience to date. Does someone know of an online resource for viewing NJ vital records?

There isn't anything comprehensive online from the 20th century on, as the state mentions on their website. http://www.state.nj.us/health/vital/index.shtml
The NJ State Archives has some older searchable records. http://www.state.nj.us/state/darm/links/databases.html

Very helpful - thanks! Bottom line: it's extremely challenging to track down NJ vital records online - and for that matter in the US in general (far easier in the UK!)

Hi,
The NJ Office of Vital Statistics takes a very long time. I would instead suggest:
http://www.njresearch.com/
NJ Archives has these records, but they do not provide copies of them for this time period as they do not "own" them. I believe there's someone at raogk.org who visits the archives. Records can also be obtained from the local municipal clerk. Response varies greatly from office to office.
However, the first thing I would do is drop an email to the Archives and see if they can help. They will sometimes provide a single piece of info to new/distant people. (I don't know if they could help with a large time frame.)
Good Luck!
Cheryl :)
