Title: marriage conner (connor) to roper. holy trinity whitehaven
Post by: geordielux on Monday 27 July 09 21:19 BST (UK)
I have some information from the web relating to the marriage between William Conner b. 1791(connor) and Ann Roper on 13/Sept/1817. I was wondering if any records people have accessed could give me more information, birthplaces etc.

Any help or leads gratefully received.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Hi

Marriage entries do not show birthplaces.  It may say "of this parish" but that does not always mean they were actually born there - just that they resided there at the time of the marriage

Marriages prior to 1.7.1837 do not show the respective fathers names

Entries will show whether single or widowed at the time of the marriage plus witnesses names.  If o/21yrs old age will just be shown as "full" but occupation is often shown
