Heres Handels record to download...theres another Moorhouse from Padiham
possibly related?
The other lad is it possible to get a big scan of just the shoulder title...i think he is possibly a mounted soldier within an infantry regiment??...does the original photo show his boots with spurs?

I don't know where the original photo is, I'll see if I can locate it. I do know that it had been cut down and didn't show anything below the waist.
Thanks for the info on Handel Moorhouse, I've downloaded his records.
Don't think the other guy is one of mine but I'll check it out.

Hi Ken
,I thought that could be the T over the curveed brass on the enlarged pic.only guessing anyhow its not really clear enough to make any certain decisions.

Given the bandolier, I bet it is a "Y"
;)

Odds are he never went overseas with Yeomanry? and served with an infantry regiment instead!
Hence no MIC to someone of that name in Yeomanry/Cavalry
