G'day all,
I've had trouble finding details on this one, and hope you can help. Two things I ask! ...
1. My ancestor, Elizabeth Over (poss Aver) was born ABT 1818 in St. Cleer, Kenwyn. Is this date findable? Parents?
2. She married James Angove in March 18 1835 in Kenwyn, Cornwall. He died on October 17 1856 at Church Street, Liskeard Borough, Liskeard, Cornwall. I can not, though find a death/burial for her. Can anyone locate a possible DOD of Elizabeth Angove?
I hope you smart people may be able to find things where I have not ...
Cheers and much thanks,
TasG

it's Aver on the transcription here
http://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/
There are 2 Aver baptisms that look to be connected in Kenwyn
Mary bp 7/10/1810 dau of Michael & Elizabeth Aver batch C022953
Jemima bp 8/10/1820 same parents batch C022951
The opc database has 2 more baptisms for this couple
William Henry bp 7/8/1828 in Chacewater
Samuel bp 22/4/1832 in Chacewater
and this site for Gwennap has 3 more including an Elizabeth bp 14/4/1816 at age 2
http://www.cornwall-opc.org/Par_new/e_g/gwennap.php
The family is in Kenwyn in 1841 HO107/147/16 folio 59 pg 21. No Michael, but a possible burial for him in Chacewater in 1836 on the opc database. Two more sons before William Henry, called Luke & Elisha.
Elizabeth is on the 1881 census, and best match for age on most census entries is
Elizabeth Angove 72 dec qtr 1882 Falmouth vol 5c pg 112. Did she have any family there?
There is a death registered Liskeard in 1889, but age is given as 58.

Hi TasG
Seems like you are researching the same Elizabeth Aver/Angove as I am.
May I ask how you fit into the tree?
Elizabeth was my gg grandmother her daughter Jane married James Williams and they went to Australia 1881.

Hello,
Is anyone searching the above surname in Liskeard and Trewidland areas of Cornwall, specifically the ancestors of George Crago born about 1803 in Liskeard.
Regards,
Steade
