Thank you both for your replies.
My grandparents George Hewett & Emily Protheroe got married on the 28th September 1902 at St Mary Magdalene, Southwark. They were both 26 years of age. Georges was a carman, his father was Morris Hewett he was a porter. That's all we know of the Hewett side of the family.
Emily's father was James Protheroe he was a printer, we think he was born in 1836 Her mother was Eliza Platt born in 1838/39
We know at one stage the Platts lived in the Shoredith area of London. The Protheroe's lived in the Bermondsey area of London.
Thank you for your help

- do you know the names of any children? I can't seem them initially on the census here. If you could find them in 1911 that would give you George's birthplace.
-
I can't find any other the children either.
There was Elthel Hewett born 1903 died 2004
James Hewett born 1905
Ivy Hewett born 1913 died 1977
Henry Hewett born 1915
I find it strange there there doesn't seem to be any records for any of them.
