Charles Holmes nee Hans Holm married Elizabeth Blakeman in 1876 in Toxteth Park. They raised eight children in the parish of St John the Baptist. I am convinced there must be at least one cousin living there today. Can anyone help locate them??
I have traced all eight up until 1945 which is when free BMD stops on-line. I am not sure how to proceed. I know there are privacy issues when people are still living.
I would appreciate any help
Thanks

You could try "192.com".............it's a pay by credit site but your best chance of a result.
Good luck.

Hi

I am assuming that you have traced the marriages and children of the original 8 Holmes children
Ancestry have transcribed births and marriages up to 2005 but you need an Ancestry subscription to view them

Carole,
Thank you. I'll try it.

Hello Joan
Charles and Elizabeth Holmes are my husband's Gt Grandparents.
When it comes to cousins I doubt I can help, sorry<:(
Do you know anything about Charles prior to his marriage?
regards

I wish I had more on Charles. I thought you might. I can't even find out the parish in Denmark where James Nelson is from. Every record I have and I have many, only say Denmark. Since James and Charles were married to sisters and were married in the same church three years apart I have to assume they knew each other. I started researching Charles as I thought they might have come from the same village. They were both Danish sailors and then they stayed in Liverpool with James Anderson who was also from Denmark. There has to be some connection someplace.
Do you have a photo of Charles and Elizabeth?? Would love to have a copy if you do.
You have been to Shipston and Honington?? I loved it.
Joan

Oh dear what a pity, I was wishing and hopeful too.
It was Copenhagen in Denmark but that is as far as we got.
We seem to have the same info.
I have acquired a photo recently of Charles. I will see what I can do. I will send it on a personal message but I could be a while setting it up.
Did you see the church in Honington?

Hello and welcome.
There's a baptism in 1886 St Paul Warwick for Ernest John Blakeman...his father was John Blakeman, mother Elizabeth, residing at Stand St.
The 1901 census shows Ernest J. aged 15 living at Stand St. with mother Elizabeth aged 57 Laundress, born Kineton, also a Harry Blakeman aged 13.
Could this be your family?
Hope it helps.
