You need to put the Photo on Parky :)
-
Hopefully this should help .. !! :)
And it's given me some needed practise at something I'm hopeless at !!
Added It's a lovely picture, with a better scan at 300 or higher, it would be perfect.

Hi Parkywinter,
Wakefield is the Surname of my husband's paternal grandmother. Her family came to Austalia in 1854 from England.
-
Hi Chrisfip
Welcome to Roots!
Can you tell me a bit about your Wakefields? Do you know where in England they originated? The name is quite common unfortunately!
Regards
Jill :)

Hi Jill, a very late attempt at a portrait of your Mum using the excellent efforts of the restorers as models, A.T.B. Renaud ;D ;D
-
Hello Renaud,
Many thanks for your portrait, it's lovely! Have to ask (don't take offence, it's just not obvious from a posting on here....) is this a photo of a portrait painting you have done? or the wizardry of computer software?
I think it is a painting, as I dabble a bit in watercolours myself. Only do landscapes and flowers etc as I can't seem to "get" humans or animals right!
Well done you! and thanks!
I will attempt to print it off for a better appreciation of your work.
Kind regards
Jill. :)

Hello again Jill, if you take a look at an earlier post headed 'Dad 1917' posted 23rd July, it will to some extent explain how I produce my pics from an initial sketch, thank you for comments and best regards Renaud, ;D ;D
