Hi All

Just wondering if someone would kindly do a lookup for me please.

My grt x 2 grandfather was supposed to be born in Staleybridge Lancashire in 1842. If anyone could give me a push in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not too sure, but I think Staleybridge came under Ashton under Lyne didtrict.
