Title: Thomas SHUTE marr. Dorothy BRAUND

  I am looking for the parents/ancestors of my gg grandparents, Thomas Shute, b. 1817/1818 in Merton, Devon and Dorothy Braund, b. 1820 in Black Torrington, Devon. They apparently married about 23 May 1844 in Black Torrington, had one child in Devon before emigrating to Ontario, where they had many more.  They were Bible Christians, a break away sect of Methodists, which started in Devon and Cornwall in the early 1800s, I believe.
  Any information as to their ancestors would be most appreciated.

There is a BRAUND Society run by Janet Few which can probably supply the BRAUND information. To contact her, go to http://genuki.cs.ncl.ac.uk/DEV/Parkham/, scroll down to Genealogy and click on Janet's name.
