Title: Early passenger lists
Post by: Peter Bathe on Saturday 11 July 09 06:54 BST (UK)
Does anyone have access to passenger lists for the 1860s?

I am looking for a George William Bathe (born Plumstead, Kent, 1847) who turned up in Pietermaritzburg in 1868 when he joined the army.

The rest of his family remained in the UK and he returned there with his regiment in the 1870s.

Any pointers would be much appreciated

If you search the http://genealogyworld.net website, you will find many of the Natal lists transcribed - unfortuntaly you have to trawl through them but it could be worthwhile.
