Post by: chromecrusher on Wednesday 08 July 09 14:04 BST (UK)
I am trying to trace my great great grandfather Wilbraham Crook's family my great grandmother was Elizabeth (Lizzie) Oddie. They lived in Wellgate, Clitheroe, lancashire and had 5 children, my grandfather James born 1899, Clifford, Bernard, Elizabeth and Amy. Thanks

Hi

Your message is a bit confusing

You describe Wilbraham as your Gt Gt Grandfather and Elizabeth Oddie as your Gt grandmother

Was Wilbraham the father of Elizabeth Oddie?

There is this marriage in Clitheroe - is this your gt gt grandparents?

Wilbraham Crook aged 26 father John Crook
Spouse  Elizabeth Ann Fell age 23 no father shown
Marriage Date: 24 Dec 1898 Clitheroe

ELizabeth Oddie

then marriage in 1898 already mentioned

apart from it being William (easy mistake to make), I think the 1901 find has all the right ingredients ......  ;)

hmmm - maybe I was right ? Gonna need some unscrambling of real relationships - from Daughter in 1861 to effectively sister of Martha by 1881 ?

Probably just confusion - they must be Dau and Grandkids ......

Thanks to everyone there is certainly a lot to digest but it looks as if you have put me on the right track.
I had found Elizabeth Ann Fell but my mum always refers to her as granny Lizzie Oddie.

Sorry for my grammar mistake " granny Lizzie Oddie" was my great great grandmother married to Wilbraham but obviously it appears to be Elizabeth Ann Fell
