Looking for any information on Edward Ernest Graham, my grandfather, was in Chartwell for a time after the 1st WW. Looking for military history, regiment, etc. Anything would be a help.

Do you know where and when he was born and his parents names. This would make searching a lot easier.
There is a war record for an Ernest Edward Graham on Ancestry born 1900 lived in Smethwick father's name Thomasand another one from Suffolk but without further details unable to say it is him.
Regards
Robert

Thanks Robert
Edward Ernestwas born in Sheerness, Kent around 1895. I believe he served at the Somme, was then sent home suffering from shell-shock and was later taken to Chartwell Asylum
Married Edna Ayress Chisolm(e) in about 1920.
Father's name was John George Graham.

Welcome to Rootschat
Ayress E CHISHOLME married Ernest E GRAHAM on Sheppey 1920 - it looks as though they may have swapped their forenames around at times ;)
Was there an asylum at Chartwell? I only ask because I haven't heard of it before - there was one at Chartham nr. Canterbury.
Casalguidi :)
