Hi - my first time on RootsChat.

Joseph Edward YOUNG married Florence Ellen RILEY in 1937 at Five Dock, Sydney.

Joseph died Aug 14 1956, at hospital. His death notice in the SMH stated he was 75 and was the father of Marjorie, Alice and George. In the NSW BMD I can see the death of Joseph, his father was also Joseph, mother Mary Ann, District Newtown.

I know Florence lived in Abbortsford, Sydney before her death on Jan 27 1979, at hospital. Florence's funeral was at Northern Suburbs Crematorium at 2 p.m. on Wednesday Jan 31 1979.

Does anyone know when and where Joseph was born? Is anyone else researching this family?

The marriage cert should give you all the details you are looking for.   Names of parents of bride and groom and places of birth.

You can purchase a transcription for abt $17 from a transcription agent.  Cheaper and quicker than purchasing the cert.

You will need the registration number otherwise there will be an extra charge for searching.
