Post by: Roy Bartley on Friday 03 July 09 18:30 BST (UK)
Look up request for information on the Panrucker family 1851/61.
In the 1871 census  Eliza Panrucker (Widow) was living in Royal Mint Street with children: Eliza 21 and Alfred 18. Who was her husband? can anyone find them in 1851/61.
Manyy thanks
Roy

Hi Isy   :)

I thought at first it was a shortened version - but at a pinch you can see Panrucker on the image, can't you  :-\

But  -  I can't find them in 1851 at all  :(

Nor can I find a birth reg. for Alfred, although Eliza Jane Q2. 1849 Whitechapel pops up  :)

Hello Mum
Just been watching Corrie.I thought Id trawl Whitechapel on my discs (its not often you get them out now)then I remembered Id packed them away for my move next week.Think youre right about the James Panrucker, there was a marriage in 1838 and an Eliza on the page on 51 census John Lipple is there with a wife Catherine hes a retired gunner RN
Might have a bit of a look round the 51 on Ancestry.

Thanks for the replies they were most helpful. I have applied for the birth certificate of Eliza Panrucker 1849 (I hope it's the right one), which should confirm the census data.

I have received the Eliza Jan Panrucker BC, info as follows:-

Birth Certificate – Eliza Jane Panrucker
21 February 1849 at 12 Lancaster Place, Holy Trinity Minories, Goodman’s Field.
Father James Panrucker
Mother Eliza Ann Panrucker formerly Nicholls
Registration district Whitechapel Union.

This throws into doubt the “Lipple” connection re the 1861 census.

I cannot 100% say that “my” Alfred (1851) is Eliza’s brother, because I cannot find any record of his birth (can anybody?). However, I have ordered his (Alfred’s) Marriage Certificate and if this shows his father is James then I will be 99.9% certain. Watch this space.

Re James Panrucker.

I have received the certificate of his marriage to Eliza Ann Nicholls. (No ages stated). It confirms his father was also James, and  her father was Jeremiah Nicholls.

From your postings I see you have found a reference to James on the  1851 Census. Could you let me know the reference as I may be able to look at the original microfiche in London.

Many Thanks

Roy.
