Is there some way to find the birth mother for Alexander Barclay, born 26 March 1885, in Auchterderran, Fife, Scotland (other than the 1891 census where her given name of Euphemia is provided)? I would like to confirm her maiden name. The census states she was born in Ladybank about 1863. She died around 1893. Thanks for your help.

If you have access to Ancestry, the certificates for the marriage and Euphemia's death in 1894 are included on a member's tree. In particular, there is one family tree with extensive sources and images attached.
James, Elizabeth's father, and the 3 surviving children all left Scotland for the US and Canada?

Thanks to your clue, I found the record of her marriage to Keith Albrethewn MacBride dated 31 Dec 1912 in Montreal. The ledger page is signed by the groom and bride (and their witnesses) and his middle name is spelled as shown in the sentence above.

I was wondering if someone could look up a birth record for William Ness b 1780 d 1845 who married a Barbara Waddell. (Falkland Fife) seems my family lived there for a good 400 yrs.. ha ha
I believe his father is William Ness b 1750?
I am trying to figure out his mother ...I think it was mary Gourlie but am not sure.
