Hiya Summersage
I nearly missed this thread again if you put your request in the other Barnsley Cemetery Thread it would tell me.

Also buried with her
Trevor Hughes age 3 days, St Helens Hospital / 10 Priory Crescent Lundwood

Dear Carolanne
You helped me a number of years ago when I was searching for my family buried in Barnsley Cemetery to which I was most grateful. However I am in need of your help again, sadly for two children we were unaware of until recently born to my 2x great grandparents in Barnsley that died in between census records. One born/died between 1878 & 1880 the other born/died 1884/1888? How do I go about finding their burial records, can a search be done by using the parents names? I look forward to your response
Kind regards
Dee

Hi Dee
The GRO site now gives mothers maiden names so you could try that first to see if you can find them. Unfortunately for me my Barnsley Burial records aren't working now but if you find their names I could ask my cousin to look for you.
Regards Carolanne

Thank you Carolanne. Do you have a link to get me to the correct site on the GRO?

Might be quicker to give me the parents names, I've had another go with my Barnsley Burial records so I have it working but I don't know for how long.

Think this is the link for future reference, its the same link for buying certificates ie birth etc

Many thanks Carolanne.
My 2x great grandparents were Patrick and Maria Kelly of Worsbrough Bridge and Tune Street.
Fingers crossed I do so want to pay my respects to these little ones.

Looked in burial records first and there and the only 2 childrens burials are for a William Kelly died 1882 age 9 month lived Hoyland Nether buried in grave T - 700 con and Annie Kelly age 25 days buried 1887 lived 45 Pontefract Road grave O-66 con.
I'm not saying there yours just that they are only the two within those dates

Thank you I'll go look in the GRO now

Hi Dee
2 possibility's with the variation spelling of mothers maiden name
Jane Kelly born 1881MMN Hager
Frances Kelly born 1883 MMN Agen
I can't see these names in Barnsley Burial records

Thank you.
William and Annie could be possibilities both died as children. Jane and Frances are known to us they lived to adulthood married and had children of their own.

I did think that as I found your family in the 1911 so went looking for the other 2 burials I found and Ann Kelly's MMN was Tampling and Williams MMN was McCartley. Its also possible the children were buried in village churchyard or could have died straight after birth so not registered ? you might have more luck than me looking in the GRO index because you already have names of the children who lived its free to search and a big help now they have put the MMN in.

Much appreciated, thank you for your time Carolanne. It was on the 1911 census we saw children born alive to the marriage 8, still living 5 (my great grandmother died after giving birth to my grandad in 1908) so we know there were two unknown children that were born but not registered on any census. Tracing the lives of family/ancestors is a jigsaw we just have to put the pieces together in the right order. Bless you 🌈💐 hope you are keeping safe and well.

Hi Dawn
I'm happy to help or try lol, but there are times when we all get stuck all I can say at the moment is that they aren't buried in the same grave as their parents. Some people just didn't understand what they were being asked in the 1911 I've seen children listed by name in the 1911 even though they have died they could have been stillborn but because she gave birth to them she listed them as having died but they weren't registered as being born.
I'm keeping safe as best I can and doing family history keeps me sane lol
Take care
