Title: Lease Hold Estate Where??
Post by: Ermintrude46 on Monday 22 June 09 20:36 BST (UK)
William Baby of Bramshaw leaves "all That my Lease hold Eastate Called and Known by the Name of Chipers" to his daughter, Elizabeth, in 1760.  Does anyone have any idea whereabouts this would be/have been??  Also, if the property is lease hold are there likely to be any transactions recorded in manorial records?  William Baby had two other 'Eastates" in Bramshaw, according to his will, and both are referred to as lease hold - would love to be able to identify these ancestral lands!

Whilst trying to find your estate,Bramshaw was partly in Hampshire and partly in Wiltshire in 1760.Maybe Wiltshire holds an answer.
