Hi
Could anyone please tell me where the Parish Registers for Measham as it seem`s to be unclear if it is/was in Liecestershire or Derbyshire.
Would be grateful for any help
Regards Bob.

I think you'll find that the parish records for Measham are held at Lichfield. Though if you have a LDS family History Centre near you they can order the micro film in for viewing there, the reference numbers are in the library catalogue.

Hi Bob
I have some copies of Measham registers (mainly marriages) on fiche I bought them from Leics RO at Wigston, so I assume they have the originals. L&RFHS sell transcripts covering the period up to 1812 (I also have these on fiche)
Who are you after?

Hi Bob,
I have been to the Leicestershire records office in Wigston and they have a full set of the Measham Parish records. I have some relatives that are from Measham and have been looking them up. The records before 1814 are a bit hard to read, but the rest are in great shape!
