St Mary's, West Derby, in the village, by the entrance to what is now Croxteth Country Park.
-
Thanks Ainslie.
I was rather hoping it might be St Catherines which is a church named in some baptism records for some of my West Derby lot. :(

Correct me if I'm wrong, Rootschatters, but isn't St Catherines the registry held at GRO.
Charlotte, may I suggest you google it or look on Genuki. That might throw some light on the records you require.

Just to advise that another 400 hundred photos have been added since my last visit to this page, mainly sourced from the Records office from folders not seen or hardly viewed before. Hope they help with some family trees as lots are pre war courts and 50s/60s images.

Fantastic site, Ged, I've really enjoyed your pics and will keep returning.
Like you, I've been really affected by the shots of the 'courts', and realising just what depths we've come from!
-
Thank you, hopefully lots more to dig out from the LRO in the coming months.

Hi there, I am only a 'scouser' by marriage but I have just spent nearly 2 hours on your site and have still not gone through it all!! It's brilliant especially all the old photos of the way they lived. Many thanks will certainly be revisiting!

Thanks Kay. Makes it all worthwhile that people find it so interesting. I could not let all those magnificent photographs remain unseen or hard to access for ex pats so I lived in the records office for a while ha ha.
