The IGI has a baptism for Charles TURNER on 21 April 1847 at St Martins, Birmingham.
Father's name: Charles
Mother's name: Mary Ann
In the baptisms register entry what is the father's occupation?
The reason I ask is because my great-great-grandmother, Mary Ann TURNER, had 7 children by her stepfather, Josiah Scudder OSBALDESTON. To date I have found the births of two of the sons registered under the surname TURNER. On Julian’s birth certificate his mother’s name is given as Mary Ann TURNER formerly LEWIS (which was her mother’s maiden name) and his father’s name is recorded as Josiah TURNER. His father’s occupation is listed as “stationer (hawker)” which was her stepfather Josiah Scudder Osbaldeston’s occupation.
In the baptisms register Julian's father's name was recorded as Charles TURNER. Charles Pye TURNER was the name of Mary Ann's father who had died long before her children were born.
Mary Ann TURNER had a son named Charles so I'm wondering if the 21 April 1847 baptism at St. Martin's is his baptism.
