Hello
Could I request a lookup for Maria PRESCOTT nee GAMMON who I am told was buried St Mary Virgin, Dover on 26th Jul 1886.
I do not know if she has a stone, so any details of her death/buriel would be greatfully received.
Many thanks

Thank you bcrick, this confirms the date that I was told.
Is St. Mary the Virgin the graveyard where she is buried or is this just a parish name?

Anita: There is a graveyard at the church but it is not very large. The church is called St. Mary the Virgin. I visited the church when in England two years ago as many of my rellies were baptized there.
Sorry I can help you further but it may be well worth contacting a gen society in that area to see if someone can do the lookup for you.

Hi
In my dim and distant past I hailed from Dover . St Marys has a small graveyard surrounding the church. Their are two large cemeteries in Dover where most towns folk are buried. You can find details from Kent county council. If you find out which cemetery and the number I should be through to Dover in August sometime and can pop in and take photos. I've got to go and get some pictures of my relatives graves from the same place so its no trouble. The only problem is the cemeteries are on a side of a big steep hill and its hard going on the old legs. If some one beats me to it let me know.

Hi panda40
I am now aware that there are two graveyards. I have also been given two contacts. So if and when I get a reply I will let you know.
Thank you so much for the offer.
Kindest regards

Hi, I am wondering if there is any record of a "John Giles Jackett" buried in this Cemetery around the years between 1812 - 1818. Many Thanks Joany
