I have 8 children who were all born at Stranraer 1834-1846. I have been unable to trace then in `scotlandspeople`.
I now think the family might have originated in Ireland and could be Roman Catholics.
If there is a Roman Catholic Church in Stranraer (or nearby) could you tell me if the records are available on line please?
Thanks for any help and/or advice.

They should be able to tell you if they have records covering the area and period in which you are interested.
