I am trying to find out where my great grandfather is buried.
His death in 1937 is recorded in the Morningside district of Edinburgh. His usual residence was Bread Street, Edinburgh. He was born in Ireland and married in a Catholic church. Unfortunately, I don't have much else to go on. Does anyone have an idea from the details I have provided where he may be buried and if so, with whom I should contact for the grave register.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Denby
If you have the date of your great grandfather's death send an email to:
mortonhallcrematorium@edinburgh.gov.uk
They got back to me very quickly with the details of where my great grandmother was buried

I have just found my grandparents burial site. They too were Roman Catholics.
Mortonhall put me on to MOUNT VERNON CEMETERY in Edinburgh 0131 664 3064
The very helpful man looked at the registers and came up with the record over the phone.

I have now found the burial records on the www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk wesite. There is a search you can do on the catholic death & burial registers. My grandparents are buried in the Mount Vernon cemetery.
