Hi Mum .....
The one I have is found RG12/504 PAGE 27
AT 115 Pomeroy St ? Civil parish St Paul USD Greenwich
I have a very faded sheet and I read it as 30 but I think you are right he should only be 20.
It is definatly the right family and by 1891 Charles is in the fur trade.
Many Thanks for that even though I cannot see for toffee! ::)

Hi Mum .....
I am having a really bad day ....
Rg12 is 1891 and he is shown as b 1861 so 30.... but I was looking at 1881 at the time and took off 30 from that to get 1851............ brain seriously stretched today..sorry...
Can I be cheeky and ask if you can see him in 1901 at all ...please... and put me out of my slump and back on track.
Thanks

I can't read the first word of his occupation ???
It looks like Unhavring ??? But that dont make sense ???
Is he the right chap, after all that ?
What an unusual name his wife had :D

Hi...
I thought this one would be easier than this but I may have to get the cert..
I am sure this is the right Charles. I am trying to see if he links as father to Lillian Maud Barham who is with him & his parents in 1891. Lillian Maud marries into my family.
1891 has him as married but no wife present. He does not marry Alfraetta (nee Cooper) until 1925 in West Ham.
There is a marriage in St Olave in 1882 for a
Charles Barham to either Amelia Ann Davey or Caroline Roberts.
Other groom being Joseph Twocock....... yes that IS what it says ;)
Looks like I will have to save some more pennies to solve this one.

Well :) an unhairer :D I knew what I thought I could see wasn't right - but I've never heard that expression, so didn't make the connection ;D ;D
That's my something new learned today, then :D

Hello Halfpenny....
So an unhairer.... never heard of that one before.
I started this post in the hope of finding the family of Lillian Maud Barham who married William Edward Farrington Liscoe. I have their wedding photo from 1910. They had 2 children William G in 1914 & Lilian M in 1919. William snr died in 1931 and William jnr in 1934.
William is the brother of my great grandfather Richard and as I had the photo wanted to find out more.
I may have to get the marriage cert for Lilian Muad to check on her father unless you know more of the family.

Hi Halfpenny
well 7 years on and I am no closer to finding out what happened to Charles Barhams first wife. Amelia Davey. They had a daughter Lilian Maud in 1885 but Amelia vanishes off the planet.
Charles remarries in 1925 only for second wife Alfraetta to die the following year. Have you every heard of his first wife at all?

Hi,
Great to hear from you after all this time.
I am afraid like you I have no idea what happened to Amelia. There was another child born to Charles and Amelia called Albert Reuben in 1886. I believe he died in 1889.
It really does seem to be a mystery and one I would dearly love to solve!
Regards
Halfpenny.

Hi I saw you was online and took a chance you'd read the reply :)
I saw the birth and death and wondered if that had something to do with Amelia being missing from the 1891 census. Charles states married but is with his parents and Lilian.
A tree on Ancestry has Amelia dying in 1944 but that's another one and she was married to a Frederick.
It maybe that they lost their son and Amelia couldn't cope with that. She may well be in a hospital under care and could be listed just by A.B or even A.D I have tried allsorts. So today I decided to have another crack as its raining here! I will keep at it and see what I can find.
The fact that Charles and Alfraetta marry in 1925 may give us a date but it may tie in to her death the following year if she was ill.
Thanks for getting back to me I'll let you know if I find any more.
