Title: Greenwood Stott
Post by: Rustidge on Friday 22 May 09 23:00 BST (UK)
My great grandmothers first husband was Greenwood Stott. He was a soldier in the Dragoon Guards. They had their second  child in Waterford Ireland @1875.  She remarried in 1877 in Lancashire. In 1871 census they lived at Maidstone Kent and it says he was born in Todmorden Yorkshire. On wedding certificate 1870 he says father is Charles Greenwood.
Do not know what happened to Greenwood Stott. Not on Lancashire or Yorkshire death index.

Index to Irish civil registrations is online (free). Can't see death for a Greenwwod Stott but there is a birth record which might be of interest:
Frederick Greenwwod STOTT 1874 Waterford registration district volume 10 page 873

Hi Yes I have that. Eliza Emily was my mums grandma and family story was that he died in Ireland not from injury but from an operation for a bunion.
She is listed as a widow on remarriage in 1877 to James Holden and a widow in 1978 when she married James Cudworth.
Just wondered where Greenwood Stotts death would be listed it he was in British Army serving in Ireland
