Well Gill the only thing I can find about the William Cheshire is that he appears to have had a daughter Anne born c 1837 who married a Thomas Jones(Tailor) at Rhosymedre Parish Church on the 1st of August 1859.Of course the main thing that holds back research in the area is the fact that the 1841 Census is lost.

Following on from my last message it appears that the Ann(e) Cheshire was born in Liverpool Lancashire in c 1837 for she appears in the 1851 Census listed as a Visitor at the home of a Thomas Cheshire given as born in Llansilin Denbighshire in c 1789,his Wife is given as a Jane born in c 1781 in Ruabon.

Hello William
Thank you very much for taking the time to help me.

I know now that Ann was baptised at a Welsh Baptist church in Liverpool

I was hoping to find Williams marriage in the Ruabon area - I wonder if Thomas and Jane where Williams parents?

I do appreciate your help very much.

Just off subject a bit - do you know anything about a Den Parish who had a fish and chip shop in Cefn Mawr? I believe you know that area well?

Thank You very Much
Gill

I don't have the Ruabon Marriages with me unfortunately Gill.Of course I remember Den Parish who used to keep the Chip Shop.As I recall he was the very salt of the earth.

I'm researching The Parish family as part of John Prescott's family history and I would be very grateful if you would share any stories with me as I'm trying to contact people who may have known the family.

Would you mind telling me any related stories? I would fully acknowledge you and it would be lovely to put a few nice things into the family history

Thank You very much
Gill

Well Gill as far as Den was concerned  and this is a lesson to us all,he never forgot the humble conditions where he was brought up.I recall one day at a General Election in Cefn Mawr where I was watching from my position seated in the Polling Station he was fully ready to fight with another local businessman who unlike Den had forgotten his origins.I do have his sister Dorothy in my own Tree who married my relative George Butterton.
