This query is related to the one in Australia for Kathleen SOMERS born in Orange NSW.
Kathleen A SUMMERS married Sidney Alers HANKEY in Sydney in 1895.
Sidney A HANKEY's parents were Jameson Alers HANKEY and Minna Louisa. I think Minna Louisa's maiden name was KENT as I have found a death of Minna L A HANKEY in 1926 aged 85 which makes her born 1841 and I have a birth of Minna Louisa KENT in 1841.
I cannot find any record of a marriage between these two or a death for Jameson A HANKEY.
It appears that Jameson A HANKEY's parents were John Alers HANKEY and Sarah Andrews JAMESON.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

I have found the family in England in Census
also a couple of family trees, which one should be wary off but do give good records
Jameson Hankey was born 1837 Clapham,Surrey or Sussex he died in 1917
Miina Lousia LYONS was born at sea to General Humprey Lyons and Elizabeth Bennet at Seat in 1842c and died in 1926
Seems to be a bit of a military family amongst her brothers were Admiral Sir Algernon McLennan Lyons Colonel Edmund Lyons and MAjor George M LYons
If you want further details will post, just don't know how much information you may allready have.

Hi,
I used to work in an editing job which focussed on British biographies. The Alers Hankey surname appeared either in the Peerage or in the Landed Gentry, so a copy of Burke might help, as usually even distant relatives are listed as long as they are descendants of one of the title or land holders.
