Hi
Is anyone able to do a look up for me please. I am looking to see who was living in this farm in 1871.
In1861 there was:
Henery (Henry) Williams, Head Farmer age 73, Llangenech (though this looks as though it is incorrect as he was 69 in 1851!)
William Williams son age 45, Llanelly
Mary Williams dau in Law age 34, Pembrey
Henery (Henry) Williams grandson 13, Llanelly
Mary Ann Williams grandau 10, Llanelly
William Williams grandson 7, Llanelly
John Williams grandson age 4, Llanelly
John Thomas grandson 19, Llanelly
Mary Thomas grand dau 17. Llanelly
A frre search at find my past brings up a possible match:
Schedule 51 Cwmllethryd Llangindeirne Carmarthen Carmarthenshire
If it was not the Williams family, if anyone can find them elsewhere in 1871 I would be grateful.
Thank you

Hi Roy.
Apparently I have links to Cwmllethryd as I'm Williams but the names I have are slightly different with Benjamin and Eleanor being the parents in 1881.
Please contact me.
Cheers

Hi
Thanks for getting in contact. I found out that in 1871 that there were three variants of Cwmlltherid farm: Ganol, Fawr and Uchaf with a Bonnell, Griffiths and Walker family living at them respectively. Henry (senior) died 17 Oct 1862 and his son William Williams and wife Mary family were now living at Colriche farm in 1871 in the same area. in 1881 William's son William was at Colchyrie Farm. In 1881 it looks like Henry Williams (grandson of Henry Williams) and his wife Louisa and family were living at Cwmllethryd Uchaf. I haven't been able to find Henry and Louisa and family in 1891 when a David Williams and family were living at Cwmllethryd uchaf.
I can't find any obvious link to a Benjamin and Eleanor (unless there is a different Cwmllethryd farm in a different area somewhere? The above is in Westfa, Felinfoel, Llanelly).
I wiil send you my contact details in case you can find a link

Hi, Are you sure it's Cwmllethryd uchaf and NOT Cwmllethryd isaf? There are two Isafs one is by the reservoir at Swiss Valley (old Llanelly)and then the other one I live in which is in Pontyberem ( old Llangynderyn parish) where Cwmllethryd uchaf is about 1/4 mile away from me. The prooerty I live in which is Cwmllethryd Isaf was once owned by Erasmus Griffies- Williams who who was the second Baronet (his father georgewas the first) of Llwynywermod in Myddfai and this was owned by the Williams family from the 13-14 century ( William Williams) with links to Anne Boleyn. Cwmllethryd isaf (mine)dates back to around 1580 maybe earlier. I'm not sure about the other two. I don't know if this may help?
