my mam recently got hold of a number of family photos so we are working through them working out who is who. But I am totally stumped as to possible age (and therefore persons) shown in this photo. If anyone can help even giving a rough timeline that would be very much appreciated.

Hi Kerry-Ann
I Googled Victorian Bonnets and found an illustration that seems to have similar design features to the fashions in your photo - the date being 1848.
What do you think?

Here is a website with some info on the photographer. If you scroll down a bit there is a photo by him. May help to work out the date.

What a wonderful photo, I would say that it's mid -1860s given the dresses and the hair style of the younger woman.
Gadget :)
Added - just seen Wendy's link - it ties in very well :)

The link is to Edinburgh, but the scan says Belfast ???

Edinburgh or Belfast, the dress styles and hair fit the mid 1860s dates
