Hi,
I am looking for my Murray family in the 1841 or 1851 census, possibly in Monzie, although there are family ties with Crieff as well.
Thomas Murray, labourer, born abt. 1780
His wife Christian (nee Taylor) also born abt. 1780.
They were married in 1800 at Trinity, Gask, Perth.
A long shot that they are still alive in 1851, but it's a brick wall, and any help would be appreciated.
Their children were -
Magdalene Murray born 1802 - married David Anderson
James Murray born 1804 - married Margaret Whyte
Alexander Murray born 1806
Thomas Murray born 1808 - married Margaret Walker
Peter Murray born 1811
William Murray born bef. 1814, married - Margaret Law
David Murray bapt. 1816
Janet Murray bapt. 1816
Joseph Murray bapt. 1821
Christian Murray bapt. 1824
Thanks for reading!
Debbie

Thank you so much for the look up in the Monzie 1841 census!
At this point, they don't appear to tie in with my lot, but you never know... I will certainly hang on to them for future reference.
Looks like my family may have been in Crieff by 1841??
One day the mystery will be solved, of all my lines, these Murray's have proved the most difficult.
Thanks again for your efforts
Deb :)
