Title: 1900 / 1910 / 1920 New York census Lookup
Post by: paulb1 on Tuesday 12 May 09 13:20 BST (UK)
Hi I'm looking for my 3x Great Grandparents. Pasquale Rocchio born 1851 Gallo Caserta Italy and his wife Maria Cannelora Rocchio born 1853 Gallo Caserta Italy. They resided in New York in 1897 and I suspect died in New York. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards Paul.

You can check the 1900 Census for free here:  http://labs.familysearch.org/  If they lived in New York City, there is a death index and other databases at italiangen.org.

Have you had any luck finding him in the 1900 census?  I've looked in the 1900-1920 and can't seem to find him.  What were his children's names, that might help.

Could this be the family in 1910?

42 Madison St., Ward 4, Manhattan, New York, NY

Rocco, Pasquale, 58, laborer
Mary, 40
Josephina, 21
Jennie, 19
Annie, 17
Samuel, 16

All born in Italy, Pasquale immigrated in 1904, the others in 1906

Possibly the same Mary Rocco, age 47, is a widow in 1920, at 104 77th St., Manhattan; with two single daughters, Jennie, 27, and illegible [could be Annie], 25

And in 1930, she seems to be with daughter Josephine and son-in-law Frank A. Mazzio in Queens, NY

further details if you think these are the right people

Hi Thanks for your help. The 1900 census has not given any clues. Pasquale and Maria only ever had one son Cosmo - this eliminates Pasquale and Mary. Thanks for trying.

Regards,
Paul.
