My Gran's name was Fell also. My earliest Fell is William who married Elizabeth Johnston and they had a son Johnston Fell in 1793 in Lanark.

I found a lot of references to Fell family in this Parish register, long way south of your folk though!

My 3x GGrandfather was William Fell married to Janet Haddow in 1799 at Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He may have had a son Johnson b. 1792/3 and he may have had a son John Fell b. 1813 (illegitimate). His legitmate son Joseph Fell b. 1805 came to Canada with his father William in 1832.
I am trying to find more proof or any other info about this William Fell prob. born 1770-1777 in Scotland or England?
