Title: Thomas James Dwyer
Post by: berlor on Tuesday 05 May 09 11:17 BST (UK)
Hi
My ggrandfather was Thomas James Dwyer and according to his marriage certificate he was born in Cashel, Tipperary around 1856. He was married at the age of 21 to Catherine Fleiner on 12th February 1877 in Queensland, Australia.

On the marriage certificate his parents are shown as Edwin Dwyer and Mary Marooney but I cannot find any bdm of them or Thomas.

Is there anyone who might be able to give me some clues?
Cheers
Berlor

Hi Berlor,

Have you looked for Maroney instead of Marooney ??? .

Full Civil records started here in Ireland in 1864 so there will be no GRO record of Thomas Dwyer's birth.

Some parish transcripts for Co. Tipperary are available on the Irish Family History Foundation website at www.irish-roots.ie  It's a pay-site and they charge €5 for each record you view, the basic index search is free once you register.

do you know anymore details about Thomas & Edwin.. religion, occupations, residence etc.
