I am trying to track down relatives of Elizabeth Jane Burton (nee Jenner) She married George Alfred Burton in Aston,Juxta, County of Warwick on 10th June,1851. Her birth place was listed as being in Chatham, Kent, England date of birth around 1831. Her parents are listed as being George Jenner (Leather Merchant) and Mary Jenner (maiden name unknown) I am her direct relative I was formally a Burton. They immigrated to Australia at Geelong on board the "Confiance" arriving in 1853 they then resided in Ballarat for some time. They had twelve children. Am anxious to pursue this part of the family tree. Would be most greatful in hearing news . Yours truly Carol1957

couldnt see her in 1841, and Hampstead to Aston (Birmingham) in a couple of months is a big step, but looks to match DoB and PoB ...

Hi, I am also interested in JENNER FAMILY as my father was a descendant of a later twig of family. Is there any way to trace Elizabeth Jane's parents, and anything of them? George JENNER and Mary Ann WEBB, of Chatham.

Looking into this further - it is interesting that Jenner family were living in St. PANCRAS, Middlesex, as one of the children - Elizabeth Jane Jenner, went on to marry George Alfred BURTON, who was actually born in St. Pancras, Middlesex. This is possibly how they met, possibly as teenagers.
Strangely enough, for some reason Eliz. and George went on to marry in Aston Juxta, in Birmingham, Warwickshire in 1851 - George was a coach-builder, boarding with several others - and so possibly working in Birmingham. Elizabeth must have gone there to be married.
They eventually came out to Australia in 1853, their first child - also named Elizabeth (Temperance) Burton - being born on board ship. Ruth
