Title: COMPLETED - Thanks - Bungay Holy Trinity - Sarah Ann GOSLING 1850
Post by: Old-Hippy on Friday 01 May 09 10:51 BST (UK)
Hi,

I would be grateful if anyone could lookup the birth/baptism (c1850) and death (c1870) of Sarah Ann GOSLING in the Bungay Holy Trinity Parish Records.

I believe that these GRO entries:

Birth:   Sep 1850 - Gosling, Sarah Ann - Wangford 13/515
Death: Dec 1870 - Gosling, Sarah Ann - Wangford 4a/452

may be for her, but would like some confirmation of the dates as I have no definite information to validate the certificate order with.

Regards, Paul.

Hi,

I have had a very quick look in both the PR's for Bungay Holy Trinity and St Mary's, and there is no trace of a Baptism for Sarah Ann or a burial  for her in Holy Trinity.

I will try to have a closer look later and let you know if I find anything.

Pam

Hi Paul,

I've had a closer look and have found a Sarah Ann Gostling baptised on 13/4/1856 the daughter of Caroline

I then looked for Caroline and found she and her sisters, Harriet and Eleanor GOSLING were baptised on 17/9/1837 the daughters of William and Harriet GOSLING.

But the only burial which is close I can find is for an Ann Gosling aged 21yrs in Bungay St Mary's buried 20/12/1870.

I don't know if any of that helps.

Pam

Hi Pam,

Thank you so much for that.

It certainly does help.... and has introduced a sibling that I was not aware of, Eleanor. (Edit: after my second mug of coffee I've just realised that Eleanor is highly likely to be 'Ellen', and not an unknown sibling. :-[ )

Can I assume there was no indication of Sarah Ann's father.
