Title: A RESTORATION/"TOUCH-UP" REQUEST
Post by: q98 on Tuesday 28 April 09 10:26 BST (UK)
I would be grateful if SKS was able to restore the attachment. Even just the background would suffice.

Thanks.

Blimey, the phrase "spoiled for choice" immediately springs to mind.  EXCELLENT work.

I know an elderly lady who will be so pleased to view a photograph of her great-grandfather.
MANY thanks.

Thank you Joyful for a delightful colour print.

Edward was born in Co. Mayo but emigrated to West Kilbride, Ayrshire.

Thanks again.

My pleasure Q98 8)

Curiosity is one of my traits - what did Edward do
for an occupation? He looks like a prosperous
gentleman ;)

Hi joyful

In the 1861 Census he is described as "Labourer". He must be dressed in his Sunday BEST!

And tks you too Mudge for excellent colour; love the jacket colour.

Hi Q98  :)

Bit restricted - got a paw problem (scalded index finger) but have managed a bit of colour to my earlier restore.

If he was Irish, I see him in his best Sunday black and with those very dark blue eyes that my Irish cousins have  :D

Thanks, Rabbit  :)

I'm left handed - verging on ambidextrous and am a touch typist (sister taught me when I was 15 which I'm eternaly grateful for) but I use my mouse in my right hand and my graphics pen in my left   and I can't use my pen hand properly, which I use to do the detailed work  ::)

Never mind - he's a cracking chap  :)

Hi Gadget,

I am a bit ambidextrous too, I had to learn when I had the same op on the other hand, but it doesn't make it easy till you have cracked it does it! Yes it is a lovely picture but where are the smiling Irish eyes?
Did touch typing at night school and hated it!  but it stands you in good stead always

How did you scald your hand?
