I have just found out that two of my great grandfather's brothers went to Auckland from Dunbartonshire, Scotland.
I would be very grateful if someone going to the archives could look up the following for me:
DUNWOODIE Andrew d.2.08.1890
BBAE; series 1569; Box 27; record 733
DUNWOODIE William d.April 1898
BBAE; series 1569; Box 94; record 2885
I would have sent for copies but it says on the Archway site - 'Record must be ordered and viewed in this office' and I am in Australia.
Thanks in advance
Barry

Hi Barry,
You can ask for copies to be mailed to you. They are $20.00 NZ dollars from memory.

Hi Barry
Just to expand on newbe's reply.
FYI there are FOUR offices of Archives in NZ.
The main one is in Wellington, the other 3 are in Auckland, Christchurch, & Dunedin.
The records you are interested in are held in Auckland, so what they are saying is that you need to contact the Auckland office (email & snail mail addresses are given), rather than the Head Office in Wellington.
Regards
Bren.

Hi Newbe,
Thanks for asking but I have now discovered that the John Dunwoody the NZ Dunwoody/Dunwoodie's are descended from was not my great grandfather as I had been led to believe by my late father.
I am now working on my N. Ireland Dunwoody ancestors.
