Anyone researching this surname in Alva please let me know - trying to find ultimately where the denholms that ended up in Alva circa 1815-1820 were from......
I believe there may still be denholms there that are related to my partner - his branch left in 1908 for Canada, but have found death records into the 1940's for relatives of his family....

John Denholm buried 18 April 1930 aged 43 address 12 Craigleith Terrace, Alva
Catherine Christie 17 Nov 1921 aged 15 209 Dalmarnock Rd, Glasgow
Grave, Section 111/195 (No Headstone)
Allan M F Denholm buried 23 Aug 1952 aged either 4 or 34 (probably 34) Address 43 Green head, Alva, grave digging charge £6
Robert Denholm 27 April 1966 aged 78 103 Queen St (or Crt) Grave digging charge £8
Grave, No 7 Old Church Yard (ocy)
Helen (Hynd) Denholm, died 16 Mar 1992 buried 20 Mar 1992, 7 Minto Court, Alva. aged 94 This grave is in a different cemetery which I have not been to yet.
Grave, K20 East ( This has a headstone) seperate photo sent but the inscription is hard to read, the following is the info on the headstone
15 Jan 1918 Alexander Denholm aged 78
4 Oct 1909 Annie Graham aged 60 wife of Alexander
and their family
7 Jan 1883 James 13
31 Jan 1944 david 72
and 3 children died in Infancy
7 Feb 1971 Mary Jane aged 80

Alexander Denholm's age is stated as 72 years on the stone.
