Is there some kind person who lives near the Burslem Cemetery who would be able to photograph a gravestone for me and email it. I have just found out that my great-grandfather and daughter are buried there in Grave #12468-
John Coventry Hewitt and his daughter Eva Charlotte Hewitt
both died in 1915 - John in April and Eva in August.
As I live in Canada it is improbable that I will ever get to do this myself. I would be forever grateful. Thank you.

Hi
I live near Burslem Cemetery, unfortunately it is massive and without knowing where a grave will be, it would take hours to find.
If you contact the cemeteries office, they will usually let you have a map and tell you which block / row the grave is in. I have a map but obviously I don't know the block / row.
You could try contacting them and see if they will tell you although last time I asked, they were charging for this service:
Tel. No. 01782 235050
Fax. No. 01782 234698
Email: bereavement.care@stoke.gov.uk

Torrygirl,
Saw this old post and wondered whether you ever got a picture?
I'm going to visit Burslem cemetery to get a picture for myself, as you've quoted the grave number it should be fairly simple to locate it. (I have a relative who is a funeral director, so with his help I should be able to find it). If you still need a picture, please let me know and I'll do my best to help.
Regards Barry
