Hi,Is there any way of finding any info of a birth in India1885

(maybe Bengal)I think his father was in british army?

I need to be pointed in right direction.....many thanks

Hi ,Thanks Brionne,

I had a look up one site that had bmd in India,he wasn't there.Had a quick look at ancestry...no luck.I have heard that not all births were recorded.
His name is George r Luck.I thought he was born kent ,he was married Kent.When I looked him up on 1911 ,pob Bengal India.Right wife ,right children.
It has been aroundabout 'cos another George luck was born Kent around the same time.

                                 Baptism 21 April 1875 Kussowlie West Bengal India.
                                 Parents George and Harriet LUCK.

Is this his parents marriage in 1874   BEFORE GOING OUT TO INDIA.       Free bmd

                          London C  ref, June 1874  1c.  59.

I cannot find any birth ref for their son George R Luck in England and Wales for 1874/6.
so looks like he was definitely born in India.

I thought  ::)I 'looked' on the IGI.

I do have his death in 1935,so that's another twig on the
