in 1881 in Victoria reg no 225
I checked but could not see a birth in Launceston Tasmania, but then again it could be Launceston in the UK

Hi all,
I'm still not sure which two you are asking about, so please let me explain further.
Edward Snr md 1) Mary MURNANE and they had a Son Edward 1876.
Mary d 1877
Edward Snr then md 2) Maria WHITE and they had 2 Sons George 1881 & Samuel 1883
So either Edward Snr is George's Father, or Edward Jnr is George's half Brother.

Thanks Cando, I realise this, but I only wondered if any of Lynie's MENSFORTHs moved up to NSW, if there was any connection.
All the best,

Hello Ladies if you are still on the air.
I have a connection to the Victorian Mensforths thru the Gilbert family from Alexandra.
There is a story that the Mensforths of Victoria and Southern NSW are related.
Probably from a connection to the town of Rochdale in England. The relationship went sour from a family disagreement.
Cheers
